This was a nice day!! Thank you Lord…I haven’t had ANY in 2018. It all started with WAKANDA FOREVER!!! Anyone who has watched this movie will say it’s good to watch an all black cast in a movie that takes so many digs at the Rest of the world and how they have plunged our continent, the Motherland!! I left the cinema wondering how and when do we change the narrative? Like the King said its “ …the wise build bridges the fools build barriers”
The narrative must change and we must begin to take possession of what is rightfully ours. For the writers, Marvel studios and Ryan Coogler (director) THANK YOU for showing this side of the movie world…amazing the actors had to learn our accents and languages bravo!!And if this movie don’t win no Oscars…….THEY ARE RACIST(in Trevor Noah accent)!!which we already know “they” are… so lets just give this brave men & women our own OSCAR as Africa and go watch it( even if you watch it 5 times just go its that good).#WakandacametoSlay THEY HAVE CHANGED THE NARRATIVE…THANK YOU FOR THE MOVEMENT!!
The Evening of Hymns at Worship Harvest Naalya was more than I asked for…these guys surpassed my expectation!! That 20k got finished when I heard GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!! I had a moment were I understood why my father calls this music we listen to nonsense n noise!! This words just tell of a God who is above all, in all and within all…I don’t know how else to explain it but it took me back to 31st December 2017, my first night back from the hospital, as I lay on my bed and I pondered to God whether I shall make it out of the darkness that covered me, and all I heard Him say back to me was “I AM” that’s all…I held onto those words and as I sang this hymn today it just resonated….HE IS FAITHFUL!!! HE IS whatever u need to HIM to be in that moment. Thank You Mosze and team for obeying and giving us Hymn lovers an opportunity to indulge! By the time we got to Talent singing How Great thy at, I was in -100k as he sang I turned to my matron(Metu!) and said “he sounds like Maxwell!!” I just broke into tears kubanga his voice took me far far far away!! It is well with my soul had me on my feet, tears running down my face and just giving thanks…..we had been waiting for this the whole evening and when it was finally sang I let it all GO!!!and just gave thanks because for sure HE IS!! Mosze, if u do get to read this please make this a yearly thing so we can also induct our kids into it….these hymns transcend time, most of them were written in the 17th & 18th Century and they speak to us now; HOW CAN THIS BE???? Mwebareeee!!!
Somedays are good…some days are bad!! Nooooooo, all days are good!! When God created each day, He said “it was good” let’s be intentional about having good days, AMINA!! Lets count our blessings everyday however small.
